Family name or no, Jacqui Dankwoth doesn't confine herself to singing jazz. She is gracefully at ease in folk music and semi classical contexts, as well as being an imaginative interpreter of standards. With her outstanding musicians she puts her own brilliant stamp on every number she sings.

The Pupils from Hamond's, years 8 and 9 have interpreted images of Swaffham, including some from the Town Museum archives and reproduced them in a variety of media.
This is part of our policy of working with local schools to provide opportunities for workshops.

THIS IS A FREE EVENT AND CONTINUES UNTIL FRIDAY 23rd. DURING NORMAL SCHOOL OPENING TIMES.

Enjoy the sound of theTHE SHERINGHAM SHANTYMENas they salute Nelson of Norfolk with traditional sea-faring songs.

There will also be an exhibition in the libraryfeaturing contempory and archive photographs and text pertaining to musical traditions of Norfolk.

Poet and novelist Alan Brownjohn is widely appreciated for a deft charm and insight that have made him essential reading. He has writen several novels, and also edited anthologies with Seamus Heaney, John Stallworthy and Maureen Duffy. He has also served as Chairman of the Poetry Society.

We are pleased to present this local musician with his band 'BACK PAGES', who are playing a tribute concert to the great BOB DYLAN, whose songs ranged from ballads to blues, rock to country and extend to the devotional. ABBOTT O'GORMAN DUO

ST.PETER AND ST. PAUL CHURCH SWAFFHAM.    7.30pm

JOCELYN ABBOTT and LAURA O'GORMAN are acclaimed champions of " quatre mains" playing, commissioning transcriptions, and themselves adapting arrangements of the orchestral repertiore. Both pianists are Steinway Artists and honory associates of the Royal Academy of Music. They perform concerts world-wide and are regular radio broadcasters.
