Chambre Díhote (Bed and Breakfast)

The Chambe Díhote is by far the most popular choice of accommodation in France. These family run establishments are regularly checked and heavily subsidised by the French Tourist Board. The quality is always superb and at an average cost of about 50/60 euro for two people, including room and breakfast, the prices are very reasonable. They have an extremely user friendly website, where you can select any area or town and obtain details of every Chambre Díhote within a given radius. All of these can be booked directly with the owners by phone or e-mail, and many have their own very comprehensive websites. The French use these chambre d'hote extensivly for public and religious holidays so check your dates and pre-book if you are travelling at these times.
